A smart lock replaces the traditional key with a fingerprint, a PIN or a phone app, but choosing the wrong lock is the most common reason for a return. The choice starts with the door type and thickness, not with the specifications of the lock.<\/p>\n
aluminium doors<\/strong> the most common door type in Kuwaiti apartments. It needs a lock with a slim body to suit the door profile. The S35 and S2D in the store are designed for exactly this, priced between 125 and 130 KWD including installation.<\/p>\n Wooden doors<\/strong> takes a wider lock body and gives you more options. The T2 lock for wooden doors is 110 KWD including installation, and suits both internal and external doors.<\/p>\n Glass doors<\/strong> the hardest case, because toughened glass cannot be drilled after manufacture. Our glass lock is fitted with a clamp and no drilling at all, at 115 KWD including installation.<\/p>\n Main and steel doors<\/strong> need higher security specifications and a longer-lasting battery. Thicker doors need an extension kit.<\/p>\n Backset size<\/strong> the distance between the edge of the door and the centre of the handle, usually 60 or 70 mm.<\/p>\n Door opening direction<\/strong> right or left, inward or outward.
